ARTS WORK EXPERIENCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: Student Application

Winter 2025

Hi Arts Student!

Thank you for your interest in the Arts Work Experience Internship (AWEI) program for Winter 2025! AWEI is a unique learning/working opportunity in which undergraduate students from the Faculty of Arts are matched with a community organization or research project that fits your career aspirations and studies. AWEI is an opportunity to gain practical work experience, networking opportunities, and references to build your resume.

Arts interns spend up to 8 hours per week for 13 weeks working on a designated project in a community organization or research lab. Arts interns pay regular tuition fees and receive 3 credit hours towards your degree.

To be eligible for AWEI:

  • Interns must be able to commit up to 8 hours per week during a 13 week semester, working for a community organization in Regina;
  • Must have a declared major in a Faculty of Arts program (NOT including Health Studies, Human Justice or Journalism, because they have their own internship programs);
  • Must have completed between 54 – 90 credit hours (negotiable) at the end of the semester in which you are applying, which MUST include at least 12 credit hours in your major;
  • Must have a satisfactory academic standing, with a program GPA of at least 70%

Winter 2025 student internships will be between January 6, 2025 and April 11, 2025. Internship descriptions for Winter 2025 are found here: https://www.uregina.ca/arts/student-services/arts-...
