Junior vs. Senior Ambassador Overview & Requirements

Difference Between Junior and Senior Ambassadors is Junior Ambassadors wear yellow T-shirts, while Senior Ambassadors wear green T-shirts. Senior Ambassadors are fully tour-trained and can lead both enrollment and event tours on campus.

Junior Ambassador Certification Requirements

To earn the Junior Ambassador Certificate, ambassadors must complete the following three milestones:

1. Getting Started: Ambassador Milestone 

This milestone includes five steps:

  • Watch the Lollipop Moment video
  • Watch the Armed Intruder training video
  • Complete the Health and Safety Certificate
  • Volunteer for 5 active hours
  • Complete the T-shirt form and pick up the volunteer T-shirt

2. Enhance Your Journey: Training Milestone Ambassadors must:

  • Review all provided learning resources (e.g., How to Be a Good Tour Guide, Enrolment Tour Manual)
  • Complete Let’s Talk About It: Resolving Conflict on Campus and Beyond Training
  • Submit the ELR for Let’s Talk About It: Resolving Conflict on Campus and Beyond Training

3. Tour Training Basics Ambassadors must:

  • Complete Tour Training Part 1
  • Review the Virtual Campus Tour resources
  • Submit the ELR for Tour Training Part 1

The Junior Ambassador Certificate is awarded upon completion of all milestones, pending no-show status.

Senior Ambassador Certification Requirements

Once Junior requirements are met, ambassadors can work toward becoming Senior Ambassadors:

Once ambassadors successfully pass Tour Training Part 2, they will receive their Senior Ambassador green T-shirt, officially marking the start of their Senior Ambassador Journey.

1. Senior Ambassador Level Unlocked

  • Attend Tour Training Part 2
  • Review Virtual Campus Tour
  • Submit ELR for Tour Training Part 2

2. Tour Guide Apprentice

  • Attend Networking: Beyond the Job Board training
  • Attend Time Management training
  • Complete 15 active volunteer hours
  • Submit ELR for the first Campus Tour

3. Exemplary Senior Ambassador

  • Submit ELRs for the 2nd–4th Campus Tours
  • Attend Own the Room: 4-Part Presentation Skills for School, Work & Beyond Workshops series

The Senior Ambassador Certificate is awarded upon completion of all required steps, pending no-show status.
